OREGON TRAIL TRAVELERS

Participating Member

Niel

Niel is a charter member of OTT, joining in 1992. Niel took on the candle and soap making trade for the group. The handmade soap and candles are quite often used by the group in their daily activities.
Recently, Niel started spinning his own wool and knits with a flourish! His knowledge of this art has been very interesting to listen to and the kids love watching him, be it dipping candles or spinning wool.
Niel has recently retired from his job at Hanford and now keeps the homefires burning while his wife Cheryle works. They live in West Richland, Washington, and have one son, Dale, who has also participated in the group. Niel and Cheryle have been happily married for over 25 years.
