PURPOSE
- Through historical presentation to promote public awareness
of era life styles and trades.
- Develop a greater understanding of life and craftsman skills
of the era, in the members and public.
- Promote safe use of black powder guns.
- Have Christian fellowship with others.
CHALLENGES
Like most companies, we have certain challenges that each member
must meet. Ours are:
- To have the following agreement with the era of 1840-1859.
- Blackpowder muzzleloader: any make or model as long as the
model was not originally manufactured after 1859.
- Lodge: a wall tent or baker is preferable, but we will accept
teepees or other types of lodges. All modern accouterments shall
be hidden or disguised as period.
- Clothing: two color calicos, stripes, checks, simple plaids,
wide wale corduroy, cottons, linens, homespun, etc. Buckskins
are also acceptable.
- Trade-Craft: this should be something that will compliment
the company. We will engage in "free enterprise". No
plastic or modern packaging on trade goods.
- Demonstrate safe use and care of your muzzleloader.
- Keep dues paid current.
